Marvel Rivals Season 1 launched on January 10, introducing Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four into the game but not including Human Torch and the Thing. This is despite all four characters being unveiled and teased for the game together. As such, fans wonder when they can expect Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm to join the roster.

Here is when the Thing and Human Torch could become available on Marvel Rivals.

When will The Thing and Human Torch be playable in Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals has not officially revealed when the Thing and Human Torch will become available in the game. However, they will reportedly be added to the game sometime between February 21 and February 28.

The mentioned dates are based on a statement given by game director Guangyun Chen in an interview with Metro in which he stated that a new hero would be introduced in “each half of the season” after explaining that each season lasts three months and is divided into two halves.

So, since Season 1 launched on January 10 and is expected to conclude in April, the season’s halfway mark would fall between late February and early March. This makes the aforementioned dates for the Thing and Human Torch’s inclusion all the more likely.

As for their powers, the Thing, who will reportedly belong to the Vanguard class, will possess the following abilities as per leaks:

Furious Charge

Solid as a Rock (Passive Attack)

Slam Moment

Battlefield Support – He can help reduce damage dealt to teammates

Team-Up Ability – Thing can interact with Wolverine and pick and throw him at enemies if players controlling the respective characters confirm the action.

Combination Punch (Primary Ability)

Thunderbolt Punch (Secondary Ability)

Meanwhile, the Human Torch would possess the following powers, according to leaks:

Fire Cluster

Omega Fire – A team-up ability with Storm, allowing her to transform Human Torch’s fire tornadoes into her ultimate, igniting her hurricane. Alternatively, Human Torch can enhance her hurricane into a fiery storm using his ultimate, further amplifying the effects of his fire tornadoes if they get caught in its path.

Supernova

Plasma Body

Pyro-Prison

Flaming Meteor

Blazing Blast

Marvel Rivals is now available on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
